I used to wonder,

Why the democrats were so obsessed

With the making people wear the masks, and then

I noticed something.

They wear them too, but

I don't think they do it for the same reason.

I think underneath their masks, are smiling faces,

Faces smiling because they are happier now,

While they lock you down, and mask your face.

Look at the smile.

Warning

In the year 2021,

It became illegal to garden

Because it was too dangerous

To be outside.

People were no longer allowed out

unless they were engaged in an essential activity, like buying goods with government checks from businesses still considered essential, like Walmart, or Shoprite.

So people began painting, writing, and singing about flowers and their love for the outside.

They drew, painted, and created odes, to their love of the world,

They were banned from.

In 2021, they finally realized,

They were being banned from participation in the world,

because the world was not for them anymore.

It had been bought by the

ELITE

Who were hypochondriacs, who hated people

So in order for them to enjoy what they purchased

We must all, GET OUT.

Please don't let this happen.

I visited the ocean in paint

At 930 in the morning on my day off I walked to the Goodwill,

To look at paintings for our new apartment.

A painting of the ocean caught my eye,

it captured the ocean

exactly

and I felt like I was there.

I stood staring

fixated on the painting

till everything around me faded away.

I stood time traveling,

Moving without knowledge past passers-by

In the store

To the exact moment captured

Like a caught fish

By this artist, whose art was being sold in a second hand store.

At first,

The water felt thick

Paint blue colored

Hit my legs and covered me in the color that must have seemed the most ocean-like.

Then,

Something happened.

I began to smell the salty-air,

Cutting through the thick, chemically acrylic, and filling the new ocean world

With sparkling realness.

It was so real,

I decided to stay.

So now when anyone goes and looks at Samantha Armani's painting of the ocean,

I am painted in there too,

walking through her perfect ocean waves, in all my imperfection.
